About Me
Linda Rasmussen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who possesses 20 years of professional work experience in in-patient hospital, residential, and outpatient settings as a mental health clinician. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Master of Social Work respectively from Brigham Young University, specializing in working with trauma victims, children, and adolescents. She is the 2002 national award winner for the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social work for clinical practice for her Master’s paper.
During her graduate studies, she received the sole BYU’s School of Social Work Department Scholarship, and the sole BYU Women’s Studies scholarship. Additionally, she received BYU’s academic scholarships for all of her undergraduate studies. She is a lifetime member of Phi Kappa Phi and Golden Key Honor Societies. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy Professional, Certified Emotional Release Technique Professional, and Certified Personality Disorders Professional. She is a member of several mental health associations including the National Association of Social Work, Alaska Psychological Association, and Alaska Association for Play Therapy to stay up on the local and latest trends and best practices in mental health.
